BADH Event Reviews

This night found me at Couples Bar & Lounge for Ush's mom 50th surprise b-day party.  I got to the bar around 12am & the place was filled with people.  Ush had an open bar until 12 am so plenty of people were feeling pretty nice from all the free liquor they we drinking.  He also had an impressive buffet that had almost every kind of meat, seafood, veggies, rice & pasta possible.  It took every being of my body not to go fix a plate or two (LOL) but I was able to walk away from the buffet area (patting myself on the shoulder). Let's just say I never went back downstairs because had I, then temptation surely would have won.  LOL  While it was an entirely different crowd from what I'm use to working in I still had a nice time. The people were lovely and so friendly which was quite refreshing.  G-Fus & Worm from BQE was in the place & at first I was a little disappointed with how they were playing because I have heard them play better.  I chalked it up to it being just one of those nights for BQE but once the other sound system, whom I also didn't care for their segment, finished BQE redeemed themselves! They had the people going crazy & sweating up a storm with dancing.  As a matter of fact it seemed like almost everyone was dancing.  Out of all the people in the bar, I will say only 10 of them were not dancing.  There came a time when finally I was able to meet the b-day princess & I have to tell you all I was very shocked and quite impressed to see this beautiful woman who looked every bit of  turning 36 not 50!  People Mama Peach would be lying if I did not tell you all that I was all in her face looking for any signs of aging and I found NOTHING. I went to Ush saying to him that his mother could pass more as his sister then his mom for which he laughed.

The thing I liked about Couples Bar & Lounge was that it gave me that NYC feel where one can stand outside & catch a cool breeze since inside the club was hotter then Satan's hell.  Being that this club is located in the heart of the 90's where a lot of people who's not from that area won't venture to it has a very nice ambiance.  The security was very good when it came to their job however they were friendly to the patrons.  All and all I had a good time but by the time it was 4am I was exhausted. OMG, I want to start off by saying thank you so much to all my sweet BADH hunny bunnies that came out to help me support my annual pink & black b-day bash!  People when I tell you all from Thursday, May 3rd until Sunday, May 6th it was nothing but non-stop partying for me!!!! The night of my party I was soooo nervous because I really didn't promote this party like I normally do.  The reason for this, for the last few months I have seen promoters who go out all year round that kept semi packed parties to flopped parties.  So my thing was to market towards the people who really don't go out & that seemed to work! Now can my BADH hunny bunnies believe that I had on a real short short outfit that was styled by my good friend Lloyd The Teddy Bear?  I was so scared to rock it but hell we have one life to live and I'm going to live it so I rocked that outfit and felt sexy as hell. LMFAO! At first I was a little scared that my party was going to flop because at 2:20am the place was damn near empty.  But after thinking about it I totally didn't give a flying monkeys balls if it flopped or not because I was going to have fun.  So I left my brother to work the door & inside the party I went to get my dance on.  I had a good old time as I walked around taking pictures with the patrons & even dancing with a few of them when some of my all time favorite songs were played.  Supa Flex gassed my head up & even tried to get me to do a split in the middle of the floor but oh hell to the nooooooo that was NOT going to happen. LOL However I did leave caution to the wind & had a BLAST! Every minute I was up & dancing having people cracking up laughing. I hope I set a example to promoters how they need to have fun at their parties instead of looking at the door to see who attended their party.  At one point in the dance I begged Treasure of 360 Ladies to bless the turn tables so people could see that not only men can be selectors.  Treasure really did her thing and I truly appreciate her for that.  Then I had Nico Mus Rich and Posh Posh come on the stage to perform a few of their tunes.  I was a little disturbed that none of my sound men had Nico Mus Rich "Party Like A Rockstar" tune as that was my song in my promotional video.  Now speaking of soundmen I have to say they did a good job so I have to send a special shout out to Supa Flex, Trouble and Big Youth for really doing a fantastic job!  Thanks for putting up with me constantly taking the mic to talk a bunch of crap & just thanks for putting up with me these last few months of me promoting my party.  Again I would like to thank all my BADH hunny bunnies for making this b-day SPECTACULAR for me!
